Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information MindSteal collects, why, and the choices you have. It is written in plain language and is not legal advice.

Who we are
MindSteal (“we”, “us”) operates the website mindsteal.com. For privacy questions, email privacy@mindsteal.com.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. If you subscribe to the newsletter we collect your email address. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to send.
- Technical information. Like any website, our hosting provider processes basic request data such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver and protect the site.
- Usage information. If analytics is enabled, we measure aggregate usage such as page views, quiz completions, answer reveals, shares and the number of search results. We do not record individual quiz answers or the text you search for.
Cookies and your choice
When you first visit, we ask whether you accept advertising and analytics cookies. Until you choose, and if you reject them, we do not load advertising or cookie-based analytics. Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage so we don’t ask on every page. You can change it any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer.
- Strictly necessary: storing your cookie choice. This is required for the site to respect that choice.
- Advertising (only with consent): Google AdSense may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads.
- Analytics (configurable): if we use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, they load only after you accept, and we use Google Consent Mode so they respect your choice if you change it later. If we use Plausible Analytics, which is designed not to use cookies or collect personal data, it loads unless you reject non-essential tracking.
Advertising
We may show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can learn more and manage ad personalisation in Google’s advertising policies and Google Ad Settings. Ads are always labelled “Advertisement”. Sponsored stories and affiliate links are disclosed on the page.
Third-party services
- Hosting: Vercel, which processes request data to serve the site.
- Advertising: Google AdSense (only after consent).
- Analytics: Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 (only after consent), and/or Plausible Analytics, only if enabled.
- Newsletter: Buttondown, which stores subscriber email addresses on our behalf, only if the newsletter is enabled.
- Share buttons: plain links. Nothing is sent to Facebook, Pinterest, X or WhatsApp unless you click one.
How we use information
We use information to run and secure the site, send the newsletter you asked for, understand which content is useful, and — with your consent — show advertising that keeps the site free.
How long we keep it
We keep newsletter addresses until you unsubscribe. We keep emails you send for as long as needed to answer them. Analytics data is kept in aggregate form.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or US state privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, email privacy@mindsteal.com. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
MindSteal is written for adults and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information.
Changes
We’ll update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Questions? Contact us.
